Message these are all good questions. Carl and I did some serious 60-0 testing 8 runs back to back compared to stock. 3500 lb TT vert with two 200 lb guys in it and racing slicks to overcome the ABS.

Like most all bigger than stock kits, the first one or two warm up stops were slightly longer than stock, but they never were worse than the 2nd or 3rd stock stop. Very quickly the MWS kit matched the best stock stop when warm, then things got interesting....

Stock brakes heat the rotors all the way up immediately, and then, die very quickly thereafter. I think this is true even for some upgrades for other cars, when you start with "cold" brakes. As the stockers heated up, every SINGLE run was worse and after the 8th stop, were pathetic.

I don't have the numbers, I'll try to get Carl to chime in, but the answer is more a "form factor" question. By definition, these are the "least expensive", best brakes for stock rims and stock calipers with the least amount of added hardware, and no added scrub radius. Is that what you want?

You can spend more, sure. Get more brakes? sure. But what form do you want to fit into? One other kit I've seen can "fit into stock rims" and don't require spacers, but cost alot more, and are bigger. That's a great idea. But it's also not for the person on a budget, who may not need that extra 1/4" or half inch of radius.

I personally would love, someday, to have 20" rims with 14" 8-pots in there myself, and I'm sure the 100-0 times will cream anything in the 12" range. That's an obvious relative argument.

While the comparison is flattering, it is important to make the distinction. Please help spread the word by always try to refer to each "Mike Smith" by their respective companies.
